Welcome to Lubrano's Pizzeria and Restaurant in Somerset
It might not be easy to spot Lubrano's Pizzeria from Easton Avenue, but once you find it, you'll keep coming back.
Angie and Joe Lubrano, the brother and sister team who own Lubrano's, have the business in their blood. Their father, Sal Lubrano, owned several area pizzerias for years. Joe owned Margarita's pizzeria in North Brunswick for 13 years, but a glut of pizzerias in the area made him want to move elsewhere. Two years ago, he asked Angie if she wanted to go into business together and she agreed. That's when they opened Lubrano's Pizzeria and Restaurant, at the corner of Easton Avenue and Cedar Grove Lane.
The Lubranos pride themselves on their thin-crust, Brooklyn-style Margarita pizza. Other pies include chicken cordon bleu; shrimp marinara; stuffed cheese steak; lasagna; chicken, potatoes, rosemary, and garlic; veggie primavera; and Cluck U chicken tender pizza. The menu also includes wraps and focaccia sandwiches as well as pasta, chicken and fresh seafood dinners, and homemade cannoli.
The Lubranos sell about 100 pies each day in the impeccably clean restaurant. The tables and booths nestled among the Italian decorations and mural of Calabria seat about 60 people, but Lubrano's also often offers free delivery to area homes, businesses, and hotels.
